The 7:00 PM Mass in Spanish on November 17th will be celebrated in honor of Our Lady of Providence, the Patroness of Puerto Rico.  There will be a celebration in Msgr. Butler Hall afterwards and everyone is invited.  Fr. Juan Antonio Ortiz OFM Capuchin, a parish son, will be the celebrant.

Enroll your deceased loved ones in the Memorial Mass

Every first Sunday of the month, at the 7:15 AM Mass, the Mass intention is for all those enrolled in the Perpetual Memorial Mass Fund.  The offering is $25 and that money goes to the Liturgical needs of the parish such as refinishing of the chalices and ciborium, or new Missals and Lectionaries or Vestments, etc… A certificate is made to be given like a Mass card.  Many people give this as a gift to friends and family for their deceased loved ones.  Call the Rectory for more information.

Bishop Alfred Schlert is inviting the faithful to join him in seven days of prayer leading up to the national meeting of bishops in mid-November, at which critical decisions will be made in response to the clergy sexual abuse crisis. Bishop Schlert and his brother bishops will be in a period of intensive prayer and fasting from Nov. 5 through Nov. 11. All are welcome to join him in praying for healing and support of victims, for conversion and just punishment of perpetrators, and for strength for the bishops to protect and leading their sheep from all harm.
