Happy Easter!! The Lord is truly risen as He said, Alleluia. A great way to pray into this mystery is with the Regina Caeli Prayer (Queen of Heaven) during Easter, asking Our Lady to help us go deeper into this central mystery of our faith!
Traditionally it is prayed or sung after night prayer, immediately before going to sleep. It is said throughout Easter especially at 12 Noon and at 6:00 PM instead of the Angelus. Our Bell rings at those times to call us to prayer!
Queen of Heaven
V. Queen of Heaven, rejoice, alleluia.
R. For He whom you did merit to bear, alleluia.
V. Has risen, as he said, alleluia.
R. Pray for us to God, alleluia.
V. Rejoice and be glad, O Virgin Mary, alleluia.
R. For the Lord has truly risen, alleluia.
Let us pray. O God, who gave joy to the world through the resurrection of Thy Son, our Lord Jesus Christ, grant we beseech Thee, that through the intercession of the Virgin Mary, His Mother, we may obtain the joys of everlasting life. Through the same Christ our Lord. Amen.
Divine Mercy Devotion
We continue to pray the Novena until Sunday, April 24th. I invite everyone to join in the Spiritual Work of Mercy. This is the way God desires His Mercy to enter the hearts of all our parishioners and our world more deeply, especially for the end of the war and for those who are doubting God’s Mercy for them. The Chaplet can be prayed privately or with groups. We will celebrate Divine Mercy Sunday on April 24th with a Trilingual Holy Hour and Divine Mercy Chaplet at 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM and Benediction. Confessions and Adoration will begin after the 12:00 Noon Mass. The Novena Prayers can be found at the following website.
