Blessed Charlie Rodriguez
Here at Holy Infancy Church on Sunday, May14th we will have the relic of Blessed Carlos Manuel Cecilio Rodriguez. Better known as “Charlie”. Blessed Charlie was born in 1918 in Caguas, Puerto Rico and passed away in 1963. Blessed Charlie is on his way to Sainthood.
The Word relic comes from the Latin relinquo, meaning I leave or I abandon. A relic is a piece of the body of a saint, (or someone on the way of becoming a saint), an item owned or used by the saint or an object which has been touched to the tomb of a saint.
Those that would like to come forward to touch “Blessed Charlie’s relic” may do so after Mass, when the Priest announces it. You may touch the relic and make your personal petition.
