Our Lady of Altagracia or the Virgin of Altagracia, (Our Lady of High Grace) in Catholic Marian devotion, is a title of Mary by which she is honored as the “protective and spiritual mother of the Dominican people.” The title also is used for a particular image of Mary with the baby Jesus in a manger. Her patronal feast day is January 21, a holiday/non-working day in the Dominican Republic.

Our Parish Family will celebrate Our Lady of Altagracia on Tuesday, January 21 st in Msgr. Butler Hall, starting with the Holy Rosary at 6:20 PM and followed by the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass in Spanish at 7:00 PM. Please pray through Our Lady of Altagracia for the special graces that our world needs from Jesus our Savior!

“O Sweetest Mother of Altagracia, you who had the joy of receiving in your arms the body of your Most Holy Son who died on the cross for us, we beg you to come to our aid at the our of our death, so that by dying with the name of Jesus on our lips and hearts, we can fly to the glory of your maternal arms.”

Welcome to Seminarian William “Bill” Sweeney

Bill is a first year seminarian whose home parish is St. Jane’s in Easton.  He will be with us just for two weeks as he works on some service projects in the area as part of his formation before he returns to the seminary.  We look forward to having him with us and please continue to pray for vocations to the priesthood!
