The Church teaches that every baptized person shares in the life and mission of the Body of Christ. Through Baptism, each of us is called to holiness and to a particular vocation through which we serve God and one another. Some are called to the Sacrament of Holy Matrimony, others to the Priesthood or Religious Life, and many to dedicated lay service within the Church and the world.

Because the Church is one body, the discernment and flourishing of these vocations is the responsibility of the entire community. By praying for vocations, encouraging young people to listen to God’s call, and supporting those who are discerning their path, we help build up the Church and continue Christ’s mission. Let us ask the Lord to raise up holy marriages, faithful priests, generous religious, and committed lay disciples for the good of His Church.

First Thursdays of the Month – 6:30 Holy Hour for Vocations in Church

Every first Thursday of the month, our vocation committee in Spanish has had for years a holy hour praying for vocations and wants to welcome anyone interested to attend. It is part of our effort, especially in this jubilee year to encourage everyone to do their part in promoting holy vocations for the service of the Church!
