Deacon Mai has been a wonderful blessing to us in our parish family over this last year. His preaching at Mass and his teaching in Bible Study has enriched us all! He will be a fine priest and a blessing for the diocese!
Today, Sunday, April 19th we will have a social after the Sunday Masses in Msgr. Butler Hall to give thanks for Deacon Mai’s service to our Parish over the last year and to give thanks for his call to Holy Orders! He will be ordained to the Priesthood of Jesus Christ on Saturday, June 6th at the Cathedral. Please pray for him, and all his classmates and for more vocations from our families and diocese!
Remember that vocations to the priesthood come from families like your family! They take lots of care and attention to the practice of the faith over the young man’s entire life. The faith and example you show in your marriage and family life are essential for the formation of the vocations of your children and grandchildren to be open to God’s holy plan for their lives as future priests, deacons, religious or married people of God!
